Deborah Parker Wong is the Global Wine Editor for SOMM Journal, The Tasting and Clever Root magazines, and writes a bi-monthly sensory column "Scents & Accountability." Deborah contributes breaking news and research to SOMMJournal.com and covers the world of wine on assignment for all three publications. In 2018 she was appointed California Editor for the Slow Food Slow Wine Guide. She teaches as an adjunct professor in the Wine Studies departments at Santa Rosa Junior College, Napa Valley College and Cabrillo College and owns a San Francisco, California based Wine & Spirit Education Trust school offering Level 2 and Level 3 certifications.
Deborah is a certified WSET educator and holds the WSET Diploma. In addition to writing and speaking about wine, she consults to local and international producer groups, judges wine competitions and scores wine for Planet Grape Wine Review.
